¿Qué tipo de artículos publica la Revista? Cualquier artículo inédito (y que no esté siendo evaluado por ninguna otra Revista) que trate sobre técnicas Matemáticas, Estadísticas o Econométricas y sus posibles aplicaciones al ámbito económico o empresarial puede ser enviado para su evaluación.
¿Qué periodicidad tiene la Revista? Semestral. Se publica en junio y en diciembre de cada año.
¿Qué formato debe tener mi artículo? Debe escribirse en formato A4 y es conveniente que las páginas estén numeradas en el centro de la parte inferior de cada página. Se recomienda el uso de letra de tipo Times de entre 11 y 12 puntos. La primera página numerada debe ser aquella en la que empiece el cuerpo del artículo (títulos, autores, resúmenes... pueden incluirse, pero en las páginas anteriores, sin numerar). El artículo puede tener tantas páginas, figuras, tablas, citas, referencias bibliográficas, secciones... como decidan sus autores.
¿En qué idioma puedo escribir mi artículo? Se admiten artículos escritos en español o en inglés. No obstante, el título, el resumen y las palabras clave deberán incluirse en ambos idiomas.
¿Cuánto hay que pagar para leer o descargarse los artículos? Nada y tampoco para suscribirse a la Revista. Creemos que la gratuidad de la Revista puede ayudar a la difusión de los artículos que se publican en ella.
¿Qué son los códigos JEL y 2000MSC? Son formas de clasificar los contenidos de los artículos científicos. Si no estás familiarizado con ellos y necesitas conocer los que más se adecuen a tu trabajo, puedes consultarlos en nuestra página de Enlaces.
¿Qué significa el archivo BibTeX? Son datos del artículo (organizados en campos) que permiten su citación automática por BibTeX (gestor de bibliografía de LaTeX).
¿Hay plantilla para escribir los trabajos? No, aunque si la necesitas puedes tomar como referencia alguno de los artículos ya publicados. Se pretende que el formato de los artículos y su estructura sea la que cada autor quiera darle. La Revista ya se encargará de que las primeras páginas tengan un mismo formato, pero los editores no se responsabilizan del contenido de los artículos ni de las opiniones que se viertan en ella.
¿Cuánto se tarda en recibir la evaluación de un trabajos enviado? Cada trabajo es confiado a dos evaluadores especialistas en la temática de que se trate. Estos los evaluarán en el plazo más breve que sea posible. Los trabajos más largos tardarán normalmente más tiempo en recibir el resultado de la evaluación.
¿En qué programa debe estar escrito el trabajo? El documento podrá ser escrito en el formato que el autor considere más adecuado, permitiéndose el empleo de cualquier procesador de texto, siempre que se envíe al menos en formato PDF. Se recomienda el envío también de los archivos .tex (si fue escrito en LaTeX) o .doc (si fue escrito en Microsoft Word).
¿Cómo puedo abrir los archivos .pdf? Hay numerosos programas (muchos de ellos gratuitos) que permiten leer este tipo de archivos. Por ejemplo, puedes descargarte gratuitamente Acrobat Reader (consulta nuestra página de Enlaces).
What type of articles does the Journal publish? It can be sent for evaluation any unpublished paper (or any paper which is not being evaluated by another journal) which deals with mathematics, statistics or econometrics techniques and their possible applications in the world of business and economy.
How often does the Journal come out? It is published twice a year: June and December.
What format should my article be written in? It should be written in A4 format and the pages should be numbered at the bottom of the page (centered). You should also use Times font, size 11 or 12. The first page which is numbered should be the one including the body of the article. Other details such as titles, authors and abstracts can be included in the pages which have not been numbered. The article may have as many pages, figures, quotatios, tables, references, sections as their authors decide.
Which language should my article be written in? Articles written in both English and Spanish will be accepted. Nevertheless, the title, the abstract and the keywords should be in both languages.
How much must be paid to read or download the articles? Nothing. It is free. There is not a price even to subscribe to the Journal. We think that making the journal free can help spread the articles which are published.
What are the JEL and 2000MSC codes? These are two different ways of classifying the content of scientific articles. If you are no familiar with them and need to know which fits your project best, you can consult our Links page.
What is the meaning of the BibTeX file? It is the articles' data (organized in fields) which allow references to be automatically set by BibTeX (bibliographic tool used to complement LaTeX)
Is there a certain set up for the papers? No, but you can use other published articles as a reference if you need it. The format of the article and its structure are up to the authors. The Journal will later be in charge of putting the first pages in the same format, but the editors are not responsible for the content or opinions that the article includes.
How long will it take you to get back the paper once it has been evaluated? Each paper will be sent to two different experts on the subject it deals with. They will evaluate them as soon as possible. The most extensive paper will take longer to get the evaluation result.
Which program should the paper be written in? The document could be written in the format the authors consider more convenient, allowing themselves to use any word processor, as far as a copy in PDF file is also provided. Files .tex (if it was written in LaTeX) or .doc (if it was written in Microsoft Word) are also recommended.
How can the PDF files be opened? There are many programs, some of them free, which allow the access to this kind of files. For instance, you can freely download Acrobat Reader (consult our Links page).
