INTA is a public research institution specialising in aerospace research and development.
Among its main functions the following can be highlighted: acquisition, maintenance and constant improvement of aerospace technologies; implementation of tests for the certification of materials, components, devices, subsystems and systems involved in aerospace technology; the supply of technical consultancy services to public and private organisations; and operation as technological centre for the Spanish Ministry of Defence.
