Elna Roig, PhD in Political Sicence (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid) and member doctor of the Juan March Foundation. She has been Visiting Student at New York University and the European University Institute (Florence). She has specialized courses in statistic techniques in Essex and Michigan. She has been a professor at IES (Barcelona) and IBEI. At present she is assistant at the Interarts Foundation. She is the author of several national and international publications. Her doctoral thesis analyses the effect of regional identity and the institutional framework on the formation of attitudes towards the European Union. Her main areas of interest are the process of European integration and public opinion and electoral behavior. She can be contacted at
