Pablo de Olavide University of Seville, a young public University, offers several options during the summer for students wishing to learn Spanish or improve their Spanish language skills in a university setting.
  • 3 levels: elementary (previous knowledge of Spanish is required), intermediate and advanced
  • 3 hours daily (45 hours total) of Spanish language (9:30 – 12:45)
  • Extra " Andalusian Culture" or "Pronunciation Workshop" class (150€): 13:00 - 14:00
  • Social and cultural activities

PRICES:
    12 tuition scholarships available (6 for each session) for the summer course!
    Send in your application form by April 12 with a 300 word personal essay explaining why you wish to spend 3 weeks studying Spanish in Seville and what you hope to gain from the experience. The best 4 candidates will pay a 100 € deposit that will be reimbursed during the last week of the program. Scholarships will be available for students from the European Union. Preference will be given to residents of the new member states (Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Cyprus and Malta).

Prices summer 2010:
Standard Spanish language course: (45 hours) 390 euros
Extra Andalusian Culture Class / Pronunciation Workshop: (15 hours) 150 euros

The cost includes a transcript from Pablo de Olavide University, access to campus facilities, social/cultural activities (visits in Seville, excursion to Carmona, etc.).


LODGING:

With Spanish host families: The Center for Foreign Students has a number of carefully selected Spanish host families (one student per family) available for the summer session. The cost for the 3 week session is 495 €. This incluyes an individual room, 3 meals daily and laundry services once or twice per week. Students may arrive at their host families on MAY 28 or JUNE 18 (FRIDAY) and must leave by JUNE 20 or JULY 11 (Sunday).
