Others Centers

The project ´Olavide in Carmona´ was created from the interest of the Pablo de Olavide University and the Carmona town council, both of whom ensured its development. On one side this initiative resulted from the Pablo de Olavide University desire to expand its facilities. Planning to expand into a municipal area, the Pablo de Olavide University looked to Carmona because of its history, culture and infrastructure, all of which were required by the university if this initiative was to be carried out.

At the same time, the Carmona council was looking to develop the town itself and saw the project of the university as complimentary to its aim of cultural growth of the town.

The development of Carmona as a campus of the Pablo de Olavide University, the ´Olavide in Carmona´ as the project was named, was initiated with scientific, technical, social and cultural activities. These activities included training courses, post graduate courses, conferences, seminars, workshops, exhibitions and summer courses, just to name a few.

Due to the success of this project and to further develop common interests of both the university and the town, additional research and development is underway.
