ENTREPRENEURSHIP, CREATIVITY AND PSYCHOSOCIAL WELL-BEING: A GENDERED APPROACH

ECREABIEN comes from the materialization of the international agreement “Entrepreneurship, creativity and psychosocial well-being with a gendered approach” signed by the Pablo de Olavide University, King’s College London and Syracuse University

ECREABIEN’s aim

The importance of the psychosocial well-being of the small entrepreneurs and self-employed, who constitute the backbone of our economies, is rarely recognized. When these entrepreneurs feel good, they are more persistent, productive, creative, and their businesses run better.
The Covid-19 pandemic has threatened the psychosocial well-being, creativity and business of entrepreneurs around the world in a way that is unprecedented in recent times.
The aims of ECREABIEN are:

  1. To offer entrepreneurs, academics and public and private organizations related to entrepreneurship, tools to support the creativity and well-being of entrepreneurs after the crisis caused by Covid-19.
  2. To consider gender differences to adapt the tools and research to men and women differently.

International Study

The initial inputs for this project come from an international study leaded by King’s College London about how entrepreneurs from various countries have weathered the storm caused by the Covid-19 pandemic (https:https://www.kcl.ac.uk/research/supporting-entrepreneurship-covid-19-pandemic-global-study-entrepreneurs-resilience-well-being). The participating countries have been: Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Malta, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States.
The results of this international research have materialized in publications, conferences, reports, etc… and they are the basis of knowledge that allows us to anticipate key factors for creativity and well-being in post-crisis times.

Personalized feedback

The entrepreneurs who participate in the study receive immediate personalized feedback. Thus, we are in constant contact to share emerging ideas and improve their well-being and creativity, as well as to develop policy recommendations.
