Abstract: In this paper, I provide a brief overview of the sports-specific individualized approach (termed—the Individual Zones of Optimal Functioning [IZOF] model) as an action-oriented framework for qualitative analysis of performance related emotional states. First, I highlight the issue of multidimensionality and introduce five basic dimensions (penta-basis) to describe performance-related emotional states. These dimensions include form, content/quality, intensity, time, and context. Four major IZOF-based predictions of emotion-performance relationships focus on interindividual variability of optimal emotion intensity and content, the in-out of the zone notion, interactive effects of emotions enhancing and impairing performance, and bi-directionality of emotion-performance relationships. Then, I describe several projects that use different data collection techniques for assessment of idiosyncratic emotion content. These include interviews, individualized emotion profiling, metaphor-generation method, and narratives. Future research directions from individualized and discursive perspectives are suggested and implications for combining qualitative and quantitative approaches in the analysis of performance related states are discussed.

Past meeting between Miguel Morilla Prof. of the Congress and Francisco López Servio Director of the CEDIFA (one of our sponsors), were very beneficial. The Congress will have 17 scholarship grant for psychologists of the football Coaching courses to join the Congress, 8 will be for regional managers, 8 for foreign students; sports equipment for the football seminary activities (9-10 balls); 2 football team gears for the international match we want to organize during the Congress and publicity via e-mail and post mail to all the teachers and students of the Andalucía Coaching courses. The govern of the Reales Alcazares of Sevilla allow us to visit that place on Thursday the 6th at 21:00. It is a historic mudejar palace from the XIV century. The King Don Pedro built it on an old Muslim Alcazar, after that the emperor Carlos I, rebuilt it with new rooms as the Almirante room, and there was where he got married with the princess Isabel de Portugal, the future mother of the king Felipe II. Since then until now it is an emblematic building and really close to the history of our city, Sevilla. |

He has run 16 marathon before,
but he has never run a marathon where he had
so many positives and negatives feelings. The
giving dorsal out day he felt something special,
"...you find yourself out in the best marathon
in the world. All staff were really gentle and
served you so quick to have more than 39.000
subscriptions.
