RESUMEN

In this seminar, specific methods of mental training on the tennis courts will be presented. The psychological training is based on the idea that psychological factors (concentration, attention, motivation, regulation, etc) are just as important to the training as are the techniques, tactics, and physical capabilities of the tennis players. These psychological skills are necessary to obtain maximum performance and are rarely practiced in a systematic way since the focal point during the match is primarily the techniques, tactics, and physical qualities. Therefore, it is necessary to alter the concept of psychological training (as the development of psychological skills mainly off the courts) to a concept of training with psychological orientation on the courts. This entails giving a psychological orientation to the technical, tactical, and physical aspects of the match that will allow the learning of a systematic approach to the mental skills absolutely necessary in competition.

A specific workshop will be presented that facilitates work with psychological processes including perception, anticipation, concentration, kinesthetic perception, initiative, imagination, decisions, concentration, and stress management.

PROGRAMA:
-Presentation of the psychological training techniques of tennis
-Outline of practice sessions with psychological orientation
-Psychological aspects of techniques and tactics
-Training of the behavior between points
-Psychological preparation for the matches

Muy importante: The seminar will take place on the tennis courts following the prior theoretical presentation.
