This association was created as a response to the need to coordinate the actions of companies within the wind power, the photovoltaic and thermal solar energy and the biomass energy sectors.

It represents these sectors in negotiations with local, regional and central governments and with other public and private bodies. Its aims are the coordination, representation and defence of the collective, professional, economic and corporative interests of its members, serving its associates as a valid participative instrument in the design of policies, especially regarding energy related and environmental issues.
