Addressing Coastal Hazards&#8217;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Durante hoy y ma\u00f1ana, d\u00edas\u00a0 6 y 7 de mayo, la Universidad Pablo de Olavide acoge la segunda Reuni\u00f3n de Coordinaci\u00f3n del nuevo proyecto europeo de investigaci\u00f3n<strong> \u00abEcosHAZ: Economics of Prevention Measures Addressing Coastal Hazards\u00bb<\/strong>, organizada por F\u00e1tima Navas y Gonzalo Malv\u00e1rez, investigadores del \u00c1rea de Geograf\u00eda F\u00edsica de la UPO, junto con el equipo del Grupo de Investigaci\u00f3n PAIDI \u201cCoastal Environments\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto EcosHAZ tiene por objeto establecer un marco de conocimiento sostenible frente a los costes y beneficios de la prevenci\u00f3n y la respuesta a los riesgos costeros resultantes de eventos hidrometeorol\u00f3gicos (inundaciones, erosi\u00f3n litoral, efectos de los temporales, y aumento del nivel del mar) y de vertidos de petr\u00f3leo.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de la Universidad Pablo de Olavide, el consorcio del proyecto lo compone otros cinco socios de universidades y centros de investigaci\u00f3n de diversos pa\u00edses europeos: Sigma Consultants (Grecia), Centro de investigaci\u00f3n de riesgos de inundaciones de la Universidad de Middlesex (Gran Breta\u00f1a), el Instituto Mar\u00edtimo de Gdanks (Polonia), La Universidad de Santiago de Compostela (Espa\u00f1a), y el Centro Universitario para la Tutela y Gesti\u00f3n del Medio Natural y del Agro-Ecosistema de la Universidad de Catania (Italia).<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto se puso en marcha en enero de 2015 y se extender\u00e1 hasta diciembre de 2016. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ecoshaz.eu\/site\/\">EcosHAZ <\/a>\u00a0est\u00e1 financiado en un 75% por la DG ECHO de la Uni\u00f3n
