The selection was based on a theoretical sampling of different types of&nbsp;<strong>gender-based needs\u2018<\/strong>&nbsp;discussed in the literature in the different country-contexts. Based on an inductive analysis, UNTWIST developed a&nbsp;<strong>typology of 24 types of gender-based needs<\/strong>&nbsp;located in different policy areas and accessible through different gender quantitative content analysis&nbsp;<\/strong>that mapped the&nbsp;<strong>representation of sex\/gender concepts and issues in 914 large\u2010scale political and sociological survey questionnaires<\/strong>&nbsp;fielded cross\u2010nationally in Europe and in six European countries (Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Switzerland and the UK)
