He obtained his Master of Arts at Saint Mary's University of Halifax (Canada), and his PhD at the National University of Ireland in Galway. He has been a research fellow at the Istituto di Storia dell'Europa Mediterranea (CNR-Italy's National Research Council), and postdoctoral fellow at the Cushwa Center for the study of American Catholicism, University of Notre Dame (USA). He is author of <em>Making, Breaking and Remaking the Irish Missionary Network.&nbsp;Ireland, Rome and the West Indies in the Seventeenth Century&nbsp;<\/em>(Palgrave, 2020), editor of <em>Rome and Irish Catholicism in the Atlantic World, 1622\u20131908&nbsp;<\/em>(Palgrave, 2018) and <em>Luke Wadding, the Irish Franciscans, and Global Catholicism<\/em>&nbsp;(Routledge, 2020). His areas of research are the Irish clerical networks and the Irish communities in the Italian Peninsula and in the Atlantic world, with particular focus on the Caribbean, from the late sixteenth century to the late eighteenth century. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His essay will be published at the second volume of Oxford History of British and Irish Catholicism. He is the editor of \"The English Community of Rome\", that will be published in Brill in 2024.
