Mantec\u00f3n (UC)<\/p>\n<p>His thesis, recently published in Marcial Pons under the title \u201cPoder compartido. Rep\u00fablicas urbanas, Monarqu\u00eda y conversaci\u00f3n en Castilla del Oro, 1508-1573\u201d, is a work \u201cfrom below\u201d about the power relations between the cities founded in the Panamanian isthmus and the Hispanic Monarchy throughout the sixteenth century, including the problem of relations with indigenous people and negotiation of the jurisdiction as the center of the conflict.<\/p>\n<p>Es miembro desde 2016 del proyecto ERC \u201cArtEmpire: conquest, commerce, crisis, culture, adn the Panamanian Junction, 1513-1671\u201d, dirigido por Bethany Aram en la UPO. Ha publicado art\u00edculos en revistas de impacto como Colonial Latin American Review y Nuevo Mundo, Mundos Nuevos y en diversos libros colectivos. En la actualidad trabaja en un an\u00e1lisis de la violencia interpersonal e inter\u00e9tnica en el contexto urbano de Panam\u00e1 en la \u00e9poca colonial con fuentes archiv\u00edsticas y arqueol\u00f3gicas.
