Bartolom\u00e9 Yun Casalilla es doctor por la Universidad de Valladolid, donde ejerci\u00f3 hasta 1999, y Catedr\u00e1tico de Historia Moderna en la Universidad Pablo Olavide de Sevilla desde 2000. Ha sido profesor invitado e investigador en instituciones como L\u2019 Ecole Normale Superieur<\/em>, London School of Economics<\/em>and anual member of The The Institute for Advanced Studies<\/em> He was Professor of the European University Institute in Florene (2003-2013) and Head of the Deparment of History and Civilization (2009-2012), where he promoted European comparative, transnational and global studies.<\/p>\n Director of 30 doctoral thesis and 15 post-doctoral fellows, focuses on the history of European aristocracies, political economy of the Iberian empires and conssumption history in Spain and America. He has published several books in publishing houses such as Cambridge University Press, Palgrave, Ashgate<\/em>, among others. One of his most distinguished works is Marte contra Minerva. El precio del imperio espa\u00f1ol, c.1450-1600<\/em> (Cr\u00edtica, Barcelona, 2004) and he just published \u201cIberian World Empires and the Globalization of Europe, 1415-1668\u201d<\/em>(Palgrave-Macmillan, 2020), whose Spanish translation is forthcoming.<\/p>\n He is or has been a member of the assessment pannels of FCT of Portugal, Caixabank, and BBVA.
