{"id":244,"date":"2018-02-16T09:29:17","date_gmt":"2018-02-16T09:29:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.upo.es\/investiga\/globalhistory\/?page_id=244"},"modified":"2018-10-26T09:04:36","modified_gmt":"2018-10-26T09:04:36","slug":"jose-luis-gasch-tomas","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.upo.es\/investiga\/globalhistory\/en\/miembros\/jose-luis-gasch-tomas\/","title":{"rendered":"Jos\u00e9 Luis Gasch Tom\u00e1s"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-257 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.upo.es\/investiga\/globalhistory\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Jos\u00e9-Luis-Gasch-Tom\u00e1s.-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"214\" height=\"217\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Jos\u00e9 Luis Gasch-Tom\u00e1s holds a Ph.D. in History and Civilization from the European University Institute in Florence (EUI), where he defended his thesis entitled <em>Global Trade, Circulation and Consumption of Asian Goods in the Atlantic World: The Manila galleons and the social elites of Mexico and Seville (1580-1640)<\/em> in 2012.  \n\nGasch-Tom\u00e1s has published numerous publications on trade and consumption of Asian goods in the Spanish empire during the seventeenth century, as well as on the importance of the networks of migrants and traders across the Pacific and the Atlantic oceans in the configuration of Globalization during the Early Modern Period.
