{"id":1369,"date":"2021-05-31T09:36:50","date_gmt":"2021-05-31T09:36:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.upo.es\/investiga\/globalhistory\/?p=1369"},"modified":"2021-05-31T09:39:36","modified_gmt":"2021-05-31T09:39:36","slug":"el-profesor-manuel-perez-garcia-presenta-el-libro-global-history-with-chinese-characteristics-en-el-consulado-general-de-mexico-en-shanghai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.upo.es\/investiga\/globalhistory\/en\/el-profesor-manuel-perez-garcia-presenta-el-libro-global-history-with-chinese-characteristics-en-el-consulado-general-de-mexico-en-shanghai\/","title":{"rendered":"Professor Manuel P\u00e9rez Garc\u00eda presents the book \u201cGlobal History with Chinese Characteristics\u201d  at the Consulate General of Mexico in Shanghai"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last Friday, May 27, 2021, Dr. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.manuelperezgarcia.eu\/\">Manuel P\u00e9rez Garc\u00eda<\/a>, current Tenured Associate Professor of the Department of History at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, <a href=\"https:\/\/shss.sjtu.edu.cn\/En\/FacultyDetail\/191?f=1&amp;t=2\">Shanghai Jiao Tong University<\/a>, Principal Investigator of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gecem.eu\/\">GECEM<\/a> project and member of the PAI-HUM 1000 research group, presented his book \"Global History with Chinese Characteristics: Autocratic States along the Silk Road in the Decline of the Spanish and Qing Empires 1680-1796\" at the Consulate General of Mexico in Shanghai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The consular institution received the founder of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.globalhistorynetwork.com\/\">Global History Network<\/a>  to discuss the first commercial contacts between Mexico and China through the Manila Galleon.
