The Permanent Seminar \"Iberian Worlds and Early Globalization\" will have a new session next Thursday, September 23rd, 2021 at 18:00 (CEST). On this occasion, the meeting will discuss forced labor and early globalization and will feature the following researchers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Paola A. Revilla Or\u00edas<\/strong> (Universidad Cat\u00f3lica Boliviana \u00abSan Pablo\u00bb, La Paz)<\/em>, with a paper entitled \u00abCoerciones intrincadas: reflexiones sobre el trabajo africano e ind\u00edgena en Charcas (Bolivia), siglos XVI y XVII\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–L\u00facio de Sousa <\/strong>(Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Tokio)<\/em>, with a paper entitled \u00abForced labor: The Japanese Experience in the Habsburg Empire during the Iberian Union (1580-1640)\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will be moderated by Professor Igor P\u00e9rez Tostado, member of the PAI-HUM 1000 research group and will include closing remarks by Alejandro Garc\u00eda Mont\u00f3n, also a member of the PAI-HUM 1000 group. You can consult the complete program here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
