La pr\u00f3xima edici\u00f3n del Seminario permanente \u00abMundos ib\u00e9ricos y globalizaci\u00f3n temprana\u00bb tendr\u00e1 lugar el pr\u00f3ximo viernes d\u00eda 18 de junio de 2021 a las 18:00 horas (CEST) mediante la plataforma Zoom. El t\u00edtulo de este encuentro ser\u00e1 \u00abImperio e intimidad\u00bb\/\u00bbEmpire and Intimacy\u00bb, que ser\u00e1 moderado por el investigador Jo\u00e3o Vicente Melo, miembro del grupo PAI-HUM 1000, y congregar\u00e1 a los siguientes ponentes con sus respectivas comunicaciones:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

David Wheat<\/strong> (Michigan State University<\/em>): Comentario\/Commentary<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Esta sesi\u00f3n indaga en las relaciones \u00edntimas multi-culturales que se desarrollaron en la pen\u00ednsula Yucat\u00e1n y el istmo de Panam\u00e1 durante los siglos XVI y XVII, con especial atenci\u00f3n al contraste en las repercusiones de la encomienda y del comercio de esclavos de distintos or\u00edgenes. Procuramos conectar el an\u00e1lisis micro con perspectivas macro para invitar al an\u00e1lisis de entrelazamientos globales, as\u00ed como al de comparaciones con otras regiones donde el intercambio cultural impact\u00f3 en familias, casas e instituciones, modulando as\u00ed procesos de temprana globalizaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
