El encuentro centrar\u00e1 su atenci\u00f3n en Asia durante la Edad Moderna temprana, examinando en particular su relaci\u00f3n con los imperios ib\u00e9ricos. Este seminario pretende ahondar no s\u00f3lo en los casos de violencia extrema, sino tambi\u00e9n explorar la violencia sostenida, aunque de menor intensidad, a menudo denominada \u00abviolencia lenta\u00bb. Este tipo de violencia ha tenido consecuencias de gran alcance que se extienden hasta la era moderna, ya sea por sus efectos perdurables o por el resurgimiento de la violencia derivada de conflictos no resueltos. Esta actividad se desarrolla en el marco del proyecto de generaci\u00f3n de conocimiento <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upo.es\/investiga\/limites-violencia\/en_en\/\">\u00abEn los l\u00edmites de la violencia (III): la violencia lenta de los imperios modernos\u00bb (PID2021-122319NB-C22)<\/a> financiado por MCIN\/ AEI \/10.13039\/501100011033\/ y por FEDER Una manera de hacer Europa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tienen a su disposici\u00f3n el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upo.es\/investiga\/limites-violencia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/abstract-collective-violence-and-genocide-VII-Iberoasia.pdf\">resumen extendido<\/a> y el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upo.es\/investiga\/limites-violencia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Cartel_programa-IBEROASIA_red.pdf\">programa completo<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 7th edition of the <em>International Seminar on Collective Violence and Genocide<\/em> will take place on April 25 and 26, 2024 at Sede Olavide in Carmona. The event will center its attention on Asia during the Early Modern Era, particularly examining its relationship with the Iberian empires. This seminar aims to delve not only into the instances of extreme violence but also to explore the sustained, albeit lower intensity, violence, often referred to as \u00abslow violence.\u00bb Such violence has had far-reaching consequences that extend into the modern era, whether through its enduring impacts or the resurgence of violence stemming from unresolved conflicts.
