El pr\u00f3ximo 17 de febrero de 2026<\/strong> a las 17:00 horas (Espa\u00f1a)<\/strong> tendr\u00e1 lugar una nueva sesi\u00f3n del Seminario Internacional Permanente Cautiverio y Violencia en los Mundos Ib\u00e9ricos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En esta ocasi\u00f3n contaremos con la participaci\u00f3n de Jaime Valenzuela (Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile)<\/strong>, quien impartir\u00e1 la ponencia titulada:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUna frontera de esclavizaci\u00f3n ind\u00edgena. Guerra, cautiverio y huellas de resiliencia en Chile (siglo XVII)\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

La sesi\u00f3n se desarrollar\u00e1 en espa\u00f1ol<\/strong> y contar\u00e1 con turno de preguntas y debate<\/strong> al finalizar la exposici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sobre el ponente<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Jaime Valenzuela es profesor en la Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile<\/strong> y especialista en historia social, pol\u00edtica y cultural del Chile colonial y del mundo ib\u00e9rico en la Edad Moderna. Su investigaci\u00f3n ha abordado, entre otras cuestiones, las din\u00e1micas de frontera, los dispositivos de dominaci\u00f3n y negociaci\u00f3n colonial, las formas de cautiverio y esclavizaci\u00f3n ind\u00edgena, as\u00ed como las pr\u00e1cticas de resistencia y resiliencia en contextos de guerra y conflicto inter\u00e9tnico. Es autor de numerosos trabajos sobre la sociedad colonial chilena y las configuraciones del poder en espacios fronterizos del siglo XVII.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Esta sesi\u00f3n se enmarca en las actividades de los proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
