Hola a tod@s! Hoy tengo una entrevista muy interesante (espero!!!) con una estudiante irlandesa para que podamos aprender que saben y que piensan los irlandeses sobre esta tierra magn\u00edfica de Andalusia. La entrevistada es una amiga mia, Julie, tiene 19 a\u00f1os y est\u00e1 en su primer a\u00f1o de la carrera en fonoaudiolog\u00eda. <\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Do you know what Andalusia is?<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    All I know is that it\u2019s in the south of Spain, and it\u2019s very near Africa. I think it sounds like it\u2019s a region of Spain.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Eso nos muestra que es ampliamente conocido los v\u00ednculos entre el norte de Africa y Andalusia. <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

    2. Had you ever heard of Andalusia through the media?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

    No, I had never heard of it on tv or on the news. I think I had a Spanish teacher in school once mention that it is a region of Spain where the accent is very strong but I had never heard of it in any other context.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Parece que a la televisi\u00f3n o en las noticias en Irlanda, no hablan sobre Andalusia como region propia, parece que generalizan y hablan mas de Espa\u00f1a en conjunto.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

    3. What do you think of when you think of Spain <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

    I think of flamenco dancing, flamenco music, Spanish guitar, that cold soup called gazpacho, the Spanish tortilla de patatas. <\/span><\/p>\n

    Es muy interesante a ver la cosas que Julie t\u00edpicamente asocia con Espa\u00f1a, porque la mayor\u00eda de ellos son cosas que tienen or\u00edgenes en Andalusia. <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

    4. Have you ever been to Andalusia?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

    I\u2019ve been to the costa del sol on summer holidays, as I spent a week in Benalmadena. <\/span><\/p>\n

    Hay mucho mas de Andalusia que los irlandeses deber\u00edan explorar. Parece que los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n s\u00f3lo muestren un lado de lo que es Andalusia. \u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

    CONCLUSI\u00d3N<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

    Although Julie didn\u2019t think she knew much about Andalusia, we have learned a lot about how Andalusia is portrayed to Irish people. Julie thought she just new some basic things about Spain but in fact a lot of the things she knew were Andalusian things!,<\/span><\/p>\n

    It seems that the Irish media are only showing one small part of what Andalusia really is. Although the areas like the costa del sol are great for tourism, we need the Irish media to show not only those kinds of places but more so\u00a0the lively culture and beautiful landscapes of the region!<\/p>\n

    It was also very interesting to see that the a lot of the things that people associate with Spain are actually things that are born from Andalusia. So many key pieces of Spanish culture originated in Andalusia and just shows how priceless Andalusia is to Spanish culture!!<\/p>\n
