Vita

Juan Carlos Rivera Prieto is a research fellow from the Spanish Government at the Chair of Strategic Management, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship at the University of Passau. He is doing an International double Doctoral Degree a between the University of Passau in Germany and the Pablo Olavide University in Spain. He studied a double Bachelor's Degree: Business Management and Administration (B.A.) and Finance and Accounting (B.A.) at Pablo de Olavide University in Seville (Spain) and the University of Rome "La Sapienza" in Italy, as well as Business Management (MBA) at Pablo de Olavide University in Spain. During his studies, he worked at the Department of Management and Marketing and the Department of Financial Economics and Accounting. His previous professional experience was developed in the international bank BNP Paribas, which allowed him to acquire knowledge for his current research, working in the context of newly public ventures, multinationals, financial institutions, and different types of investors.

Since 2017, he has been actively participating in competitive research projects funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation. In addition, he has been an evaluator for the ACREDITA Program of the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) since 2018, having participated in the accreditation of more than 25 master’s degrees and bachelor’s degrees.

Among his achievements, he has been awarded a predoctoral scholarship from the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities, and he also received the PAIDI research staff scholarship from the Andalusian Regional Government. He has also received the Novel Researcher Award at the 29th International Conference of ACEDE-Spanish Academy of Management and the Best Paper Award at the 31st International Conference of ACEDE-Spanish Academy of Management.
