Inés Herrero Chacón


Ines Herrero is Professor of Management in the Department of Business Management at the Pablo de Olavide University (Seville, Spain) since 2002. She has actively worked in research projects and has collaborated with several European universities such as the University of Cambridge (UK), the University of Portsmouth (funded by European projects), the University of Macedonia (Greece), the University of Salerno (Italy) and two stays at Durham University (funded through grants from the Ministry of Salvador de Madariaga). Her current research focuses on family businesses with a particular focus on performance measures and their relation to social capital, social-emotional wealth as well as other aspects of family businesses. She has published more than twenty articles in prestigious journals of the JCR (Journal Citation Reports) such as Journal of Management, Human Resource Management, Journal of Business and Psychology, Family Business Review, Omega: The International Journal of Management Science, Environmental Management, Journal of Productivity Analysis or European Journal of Operational Research.
Ines Herrero has been responsible for 8 competitive research projects and has participated in 5 others. She has been responsible for two European research projects (of the V Framework Programme and the VI Framework Programme of the EU), has participated in another EU project, has been responsible for 4 projects of the Spanish national plan (of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness), one of which is still in force, and 2 of the autonomous government (dependent on the Junta de Andalucía).
