Elena Bautista Pérez holds a degree in Languages from the Universidad de las Américas Puebla (Mexico). From 2009 to 2010, she attended courses in Translation and Interpreting at the Université de Stendhal 3 Grenoble (France). In 2016, she obtained the ICELT (In-service Certificate in English Language Teaching) certification from Cambridge University. In the same year, she concluded a Diploma in Body Language. In 2017, she concluded a Master’s Degree in International Communication, Translation and Interpreting at Pablo de Olavide University (Seville, Spain) where, she also defended her doctoral thesis Descripción y análisis de las actividades de comunicación interlingüística en una empresa internacionalizada: dos estudios de caso en España y México which obtained International Mention and Industrial Mention. In addition, she has a Postgraduate Degree in Legal Translation and another in Transcreation awarded by the Pablo de Olavide University. Since 2012, she has worked as an English, French and Spanish teacher in Mexican, Spanish, French and Japanese institutions. Likewise, as an in-house and freelance translator and interpreter she has worked, since 2012, for Mexican, Spanish, French, Canadian and American companies. Her profile as a researcher focuses on legal translation, court interpreting and commercial translation and interpreting. She is currently a lecturer in the Department of Translation and Interpreting at Pablo de Olavide University in Seville (Spain) and an active member, since 2020, of the PAIDI research group Interglosia: Procesos de Comunicación Intercultural (HUM 996). She is also the academic coordinator of a language center and provides specialized trilingual training for private companies and Spanish governmental institutions. She combines these activities with professional translation and interpreting for different companies.
