Taught subjects
Antonio Trujillo-Ponce is Full Professor of Finance in the Department of Financial Economics and Accounting at Pablo de Olavide University (Seville, Spain). His research focuses on the analysis of credit risk and its implications for banking regulation, particularly within the framework of the Basel Capital Accords, as well as on the determinants of profitability and risk in credit institutions. He is currently developing a primary line of research on the role of guarantee systems in SME financing. As a result of this work, he has published numerous articles in leading academic journals in the field of finance and has presented his research at both national and international conferences. He is a member of the Research Group on Banking and Entrepreneurial Finance (BANEF), funded by the Regional Government of Andalusia (SEJ-555). He is also actively engaged in knowledge transfer as a member of the Board of Directors of Garántia SGR, where he has served since its establishment in 2017 and currently chairs the Risk Committee.
