Abstract

This text analyzes the professional evolution of the sculpture artist Pedro Mora (Sevilla, 1961) during the 30 years of his career, paying special attention to the information related to the quantity and typology of his accomplished expositions, to the galleries with whom he has worked, and to the processes of interconnection that have existed within the art system. Belonging to the “Sevillian Generation of the 80s,” Mora has followed a path included within the Art System, developing his work during a change of cycle that carried with it the fracture of some paradigms that ruled the said system. As the artist of an important Spanish gallery and participant in some of the most renowned expositions of the 1990s in the 20th Century, this piece makes an effort to explain the current influence of art galleries, as well as curatorship, in the careers of artists.
