¿Qué papel pueden tener las cooperativas en una transición postcarbono?
Abstract
Cooperatives constitute an enterprise model with non-capitalist values. Moreover they can adapt themselves to non-growth economies because their priority is to maintain remunerative jobs for all their workers. This is why it is relevant to consider which role they can have in a postcarbon transition. The text makes a review of cooperatives in Catalonia and shows that cooperatives resist better crisis, favour industrial democracy, motivation, commitment, cohesión and equality among workers. Their vulnerability appears to be reduced and resilience enhanced. These characteristics allow to conjecture that cooperatives are more apt for a postcarbon transition towards a sustainable economy through a benign degrowth
