Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a reality that has been permeating daily life faster than we realize; however, it wasn't until the emergence of GPT chat that we truly grasped this reality. Research dating back to 1950 has progressed to the point where we are overdue in regulating how AI should respect fundamental human rights such as dignity, privacy, and non-discrimination. According to some of the sources consulted for this text, it is evident that raising awareness among those driving the technological revolution is necessary. This is made while acknowledging that this sector is not responsible for developing rights, but rather for understanding their scope. The purpose of this paper is to analyse the dilemmas surrounding the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and certain personal rights, which, since their enactment—like all rights of this kind—have had a scope that corresponds to the current social context of universal impact in which we find ourselves; Consequently, with the technological revolution and under the pretext of it, the very core of human rights has been affected, and it is therefore imperative to advance the way in which these rights are safeguarded by states.
