OUR INSTITUTION:
Pablo de Olavide University of Seville is a public university committed to providing high quality education. It is located on a single campus equipped with the latest technologies. In its 140 hectares of high ecological value, it combines teaching, research and social and sports activities. On the other hand, the UPO is fully committed to the implementation of a university without papers at all levels. To ensure the security and authentication of all these procedures, digital signature is fully implemented in the university. Recently it has created both the vice-rectorate of Digital Transformation and Quality, and the Rector’s Delegation for the Sustainable Campus, both organizational structures of special relevance for the development of the project.
OUR TEAM:
Luis Villagarcía Saiz, coordinator of the project, is a full professor in the area of ecology at Pablo de Olavide University and director of the Campus of International Excellence of Environment, Biodiversity and Global Change (CEI CamBio) who, from Pablo de Olavide University, coordinates headquarters in the universities of Almería, Jaén, Cadiz, Huelva and Córdoba. He has been responsible for Quality of the master’s degree in Carbon Assessment and Management in Ecosystems and the master’s degree in Climate Change, Carbon and Water Resources (2013-2016). On its scientific side he has focused his research on the study of the effect of climate change on gas flows and on the availability of phosphorus in soils, both in semi-arid ecosystems.
Raúl Giráldez Rojo is vice-rector of Digital Transformation and Quality at the UPO, and Dr. Cum Laude in Computer Science from the University of Seville, with Extraordinary Award and Quality Mention of the Program. In addition, he is a promoter and partner of Spin-Off Proemia Advanced Technologies S.L., owned by Pablo de Olavide University, created in 2011 (and continues) and whose activity focuses on the development of high-performance applications and technology consulting in the context of intelligent data analysis. The research lines in which he works focus on fields linked to Data Mining and Evolutionary Computing, such as data preprocessing, optimisation techniques, machine learning, and applications in various areas such as Bioinformatics. He has participated in research projects, such as Knowledge Discovery Network of Excellence (European Union), DATos mining for users in different application areas (Junta de Andalucía) among others.
Teresa Rebolledo Gámez is Dr. Cum Laude with International Mention in Development and Citizenship: Human Rights, Equality, Education and Social Intervention, with Doctoral Thesis on the training of educators in the field of diversity. It has participated in various national and international research projects related to education, equality, education for development and social cooperation. He has participated in the writing of the books “Sensibilisation in contexts of cultural diversity: a proposal from the SDGs with social educators, “Migrating women, vulnerability and human rights”, “Culture of peace and conflict: Socio-educational implications“,”Assessment of Participatory Methodologies: an experience in the university field”, among others.
María del Rocío Rodríguez Casado. Professor of the Department of Education and Social Psychology of the Pablo de Olavide University (UPO). Social educator. Social worker. Master’s degree in Education for Development, Social Awareness and Culture of Peace. International PhD in Social Sciences within the framework of the Doctoral Program: Development and Citizenship: Human Rights, Equality, Education and Social Intervention of the UPO. Outstanding lines of research: migrations and gender; interculturality and gender in the school environment; education for development and interculturality in socio-educational contexts; Procedures in the face of cultural and gender diversity in nursery and primary schools. Member of the GIAS Research Group (HUM-929). She is a researcher for national and international projects such as “Voices of Immigrant Women” (Erasmus+ KA2 Strategic Program) R+D+i Collaboration and IRSES Project “Gendercit: Gender and Citizenship”, financed by the European Union.
María José Molina Ramírez, is an Environmental Sciences Graduated and Master’s Degree in Ecological Agriculture and Livestock. She is an environmental technician in Rector’s Delegation for the Sustainable Campus of the Pablo de Olavide University. Her professional career is linked to the management and coordination of projects in the university field.
María Jesús Ruiz Sutilo, holds a Degree in Translation and Interpreting and a Master Degree in European Project Management. She works at the International Relations Office and is in charge of European and cooperation projects’ administrative management.
Oscar Acedo Nuñez is an Aeronautical Engineer and holds an Expert Degree in International Cooperation project management. He is also a part-time lecturer at Pablo de Olavide University Environmental Science degree. He works at the International Relations Office and is in charge of European and Cooperation projects’ technical management.
