  • Social Partners and Professionals: Representatives from APCC (Associação de Paralisia Cerebral de Coimbra) who work closely with individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Contents of the Multiplier Event

The event was organized into several key activities aimed at discussing and reflecting on the project outputs related to the inclusion of students with intellectual disabilities in higher education.

Round Table Discussions

Output 1: Online Course
Discussion on the creation and impact of an online course designed to promote university inclusion for students with intellectual disabilities. Moderators: Pablo Álvarez, Graça Gonçalves, Cavalcante Soares, Cristina Vanessa Coimbra

Output 2: Digital Manual
Examination of a digital manual offering strategies for supporting students with intellectual disabilities in various university settings. Moderators: Maria João Pena, Élia Costa, Clara Cruz Santos, Mara Costa.

Output 3: Recommendations
Co-creation of strategies and measures to enhance inclusion for students with intellectual Moderators: Jorge Ferreira, Maria Rosa Tomé, Sónia Guadalupe dos Santos Ribeiro Neves de Abreu, testimony by Catarina (PhD student).

Closing Conference

Conclusions Achieved

Enhanced Awareness and Understanding
Participants gained a deeper understanding of the challenges and solutions related to the inclusion of students with intellectual disabilities in higher education.

University representatives and policymakers expressed their commitment to integrating the discussed strategies into their institutional policies and practices.

Feedback for Improvement
Valuable feedback was gathered on the online course and digital manual, which will be used to refine these resources further.

The event successfully highlighted the importance of inclusive higher education and set the stage for ongoing collaboration and implementation of inclusive practices across participating institutions.
