Ombudsman, social rAbstract
The protection of social rights and the protection of people in vulnerable situations are at the core of Ombudsmen's work in Latin America. The following articles deal with this theme and examine new and controversial theoretical issues. The analyses of these issues will undoubtedly enrich the body of knowledge on the Ombudsmen significantly and will contribute to improving the future work of this institution. These studies are based on descriptions of the Ombudsmen’s work, often from critical perspectives; they also contrast this work with current law – with special attention to international law, including soft law – and suggest future lines of work.
