18th UPOemprende Competition: From INN-LAB, we promote entrepreneurial talent
From INN-LAB, we remain firmly committed to fostering entrepreneurial talent within our university environment. For this reason, we actively participate in the 18th UPOemprende Competition, a key initiative aimed at transforming ideas into real business projects.
This competition, promoted by the Universidad Pablo de Olavide through its Directorate General for Employability and Entrepreneurship, seeks to encourage and support innovative business ideas and projects emerging from the university community, fostering the creation of companies based on knowledge and research.
Our commitment to university entrepreneurship
At INN-LAB, we contribute to this initiative not only as a collaborating entity, but also as an active agent in creating opportunities for students, researchers, and graduates.
In this context, we promote the INN-LAB Entrepreneurship Award, which recognizes the best Bachelor’s Thesis (TFG) or Master’s Thesis (TFM) with an entrepreneurial focus, endowed with a €500 prize. Through this award, we aim to highlight the enormous potential of academic work when it is oriented toward value creation and real-world application.
A real opportunity to launch a business
The 18th UPOemprende Competition offers a total of €12,000 in prizes, distributed across different categories ranging from early-stage ideas to already established companies.
The registration period is now open and will remain available until May 5, 2026, at 23:59. We invite the entire university community to submit their initiatives and seize this opportunity to take the leap from idea to business project.

Support beyond the competition
One of the aspects we value most about UPOemprende is its comprehensive approach. It is not only about competing, but also about learning, improving, and building connections.
The program includes specialized training in key areas such as customer insight, business model design, and effective presentation skills (elevator pitch), helping projects evolve with greater strength and structure.
In addition, participants can access mentoring, advisory services, and connections within the entrepreneurial ecosystem—essential elements to increase the likelihood of success for any initiative.
