Abstract

The objective of this article is to carry out a historical-structural analysis of the origin, deployment and climacteric of the international aid regime –which has been managed by the Development Assistance Committee of the OECD since 1961 with key support from World Bank– and its possible replacement, after a transitional period of competitive multilateralism, by an alternative international South-South Cooperation regime led by China.
