A partir del análisis de discursos, prácticas y acciones simbólicas nos aproximamos en este texto a la articulación entre raza y sexo en la ciudad de Cuenca en Ecuador. Nos interesa profundizar en el proceso de construcción discursiva de una realidad blanca y masculina a partir de la que se define el orden social en función del cual se jerarquizan diferentes corporalidades.
This article analyzes the articulation between race and sex in the city of Cuenca, Ecuador, by means of the analysis of discourses, practices, and symbolic actions. The objective is to explore the process of discursive construction of a white, male community that is used as a model to define a social order in which different corporalities are ranked.
