Abstract

Ester Morguez Algrante (Izmir, 1916-1984) was a Turkish poet who, without being a direct victim or a descendant of Holocaust survivors, dedicated part of her poems to the memory of the victims of her people. The Warsaw ghetto, an emblematic place that represents the suffering and heroism of the Jews during the Second World War, is witnessed in each of these 12 poems. This study will aim to reflect and analyze the poetic world of Ester Morguez Algrante in relation to her poetry on the subject of the Holocaust.
