Abstract

El presente trabajo pretende analizar Itálica, su influencia helénica y la materialización de su vinculación con Adriano, a partir de un estudio de los vínculos entre el emperador y Atenas. La ciudad ateniense jugaba un papel fundamental en el desarrollo del Imperio adrianeo y, más particularmente, como fundamento de su filohelenismo personal. Al final del artículo, se recoge la materialización de la acción adrianea, destacando aquellos elementos que llegan a unir a ambas ciudades. Ofrecemos una aproximación a una nueva interpretación de Itálica a partir de esta influencia helenística y de su paralelo griego.

(EN) This paper aims to analyse Italica, its Hellenic influence and the materialisation of its connection with Hadrian, by a previous study of the links between the Emperor and Athens. This city played a crucial role in Hadrian’s Roman Empire’s development and, more particularly, as a fundament of his personal philhellenism. At the end of this paper, we collect the materialisation of the Hadrianic action, highlighting those elements that get to join these cities. Thus, it offers a new interpretation of Italica from this Hellenistic influence and its Greek parallel.
