¿Qué se Enseña sobre Temáticas LGBT+ en el Currículum de Psicología en Universidades Chilenas?

Si bien se sabe que hay diferencias en el desarrollo vital y psíquico de personas heterosexuales cisgénero y personas LGBT+, los currículums formativos de carreras de salud incluyen escasa o nula información sobre estas temáticas. En el caso particular de la carrera de psicología en Latinoamérica no se cuenta con información empírica acerca de esta escasez. Bajo este contexto la Red Latinoamericana de Investigación en Salud Mental en Psicoterapia y Salud Mental en Diversidad Sexual y de Género ha decidido realizar un estudio multicéntrico con el objetivo de responder la pregunta ¿qué se enseña sobre diversidad sexual, afectiva y de género en el currículum de la carrera de psicología? El presente artículo corresponde a los resultados del pilotaje de la investigación en Chile con una muestra de seis universidades. En total se revisaron 93 programas referentes a psicoterapia y salud mental a través del método de revisión sistemática de literatura gris o no convencional. El resultado de la investigación presenta evidencia a favor del nulo o escaso abordaje de las temáticas LGBT+ en psicología, encontrándose solo seis referencias explícitas en la totalidad de programas revisados.
