this article aims to show Universal Basic Income as an investment instead of an expense. Universal Basic Income is a preventive tool which effectiveness is invaluable. It avoids incurring in multiple situations that lead people in an incipient state of need to others whose effects are frequently irreversible. Since Adam and Eve committed the original sin, our society has been structured by work, even though work is no longer a guarantee of a dignified life. Tackling poverty with Basic Income would not only eradicate it, but also serve to distribute wealth at a time when inequality in its distribution is at an all-time high. It would give people the freedom that the social policies of the last forty years have not provided and would make it possible to guarantee the right to a dignified life.
