
Joanna Wandycz-Mejías
Director International Center
Joanna, the Director of the International Center, holds a Ph.D. in Human Resource Management (Organizational Behavior) from Pablo de Olavide University, Master’s degrees from Indiana University and the UPO and a B.A. from Providence College. Before joining the UPO in 2001 to launch its International Center, Joanna spent four years at Harvard University advising graduate students from Venezuela and Colombia studying in the U.S. and Canada. Her study abroad experience includes a semester in Strasbourg, France, a year in Paris, a year on a graduate exchange scholarship at Warsaw University in Poland and a summer internship in Istanbul, Turkey as well as a summer language program in St. Petersburg, Russia. Originally from Connecticut, Joanna was raised bilingual (English/Polish) and spent a total of three years living in Poland. She has been living in Spain for 20+ years and in addition to English and Polish, speaks Spanish, French and has a low intermediate level of Russian. Joanna’s research interests focus on employee well-being and Self-determination theory.
