Álvaro Oliva Espinal

Álvaro is in charge of the Spanish language courses for Erasmus students and handles the administrative procedures for outgoing students in the Atlanticus program (Canada, USA, Bahamas and Australia). He also serves as a liaison with Asian universities and provides operational and administrative support to the Center. He holds a Translation and Interpreting degree from the UPO, a Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, and is a certified DELE examiner. His connection with the International Center began as an intern between 2015 and 2018, and he joined the team again part-time in the spring of 2025. Previously, he lived three years in Japan working as a Spanish instructor at universities in Nagoya. He has also lived almost two years in England and one semester in Rome. Originally from Seville, he speaks Spanish and English, and has some knowledge of Italian and Japanese.
