Marta manages the teaching staff at the International Center. She holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics (her dissertation focuses on bilingualism and the development of translation competence in immersion contexts). She also holds two Master’s degrees from Universidad Pablo de Olavide: one in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and another in Teacher Training for Secondary Education, Upper Secondary Education, and Language Teaching. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Granada. Her passion for languages and interculturality has guided her entire academic and professional career. Marta has completed research and teaching stays in Ireland (Dublin City University), Germany (Universität Leipzig and Philipps-Universität Marburg), and the United States (Wheaton College, Massachusetts, and Rutgers University, New Jersey). She has extensive experience in international education and a solid teaching career in Translation and Interpreting, as well as in teaching English and Spanish as a second language at Universidad Pablo de Olavide and Spanish Translation and Culture at the International Center.
