Abstract

The idea of the monument is linked to certain images, objects and buildings full of intention. Consequently this leads to two concepts, first image and its power over the human mind; to its symbolic value, their transmission capacity of religious, civic or permanence values and their power of seduction and attraction as objects based on their economic value, artistic qualities or character of relic. And secondly the idea of intentional public and private monument, which is distinguished from the artwork.
