This paper is a review of the book “Sé del beso que se compra. Masculinidades, sexualidades y emociones en las experiencias de varones que pagan por sexo”, written by Santiago Morcillo, Estefanía Martynowskyj and Matías de Stéfano Barbero. The book explores a complex area of debate that ranges from the existing discussions between sex work in feminisms to the problematization of notions such as "hegemonic masculinity"; and its homogenizing effects. Contrary to the common sense, the different angles of analysis show that the meanings and representations of the practice of paying for sex in Argentina are not so evident. There is a
transversal question throughout the book about who these men are, what they think, what they narrate about their experiences, and above all, what emotions are activated in their involvement.
