Revisión bibliográfica de la relación entre clase social, actividad física y deporte en menores españoles (2013-2023).

Resumen

La actividad física moderada y vigorosa (AFMV) se considera un factor protector frente a las enfermedades no transmisibles, y por tanto su incorporación a la población una prioridad de las políticas públicas de salud. Sin embargo, la literatura muestra un gradiente social en su práctica tanto en adultos como en menores. El objetivo de esta revisión era determinar si este gradiente social se cumplía también en el caso de los menores españoles (4-18). Metodología: se llevó a cabo una revisión en la base de datos Medline Plus con una combinación de términos MESH y texto libre. La búsqueda recuperó un total de 275 artículos, de los cuales finalmente se identificaron 10 que cumplían todos los criterios de inclusión. Resultados: se identificó un gradiente social moderado y especialmente relevante en el caso del deporte organizado. Por el contrario, la movilidad activa al colegio fue mayor en menores de nivel sociodemográfico bajo. Discusión: la evidencia concuerda con la recogida a nivel internacional, y muestra que las diferencias en actividad física comienzan a configurarse en la infancia. Conclusión: las inequidades en salud son una prioridad en política pública, y por tanto estos resultados invitan a las autoridades ha desarrollar políticas eficaces que mitiguen o reduzcan esta brecha.
