Abstract

The church of Santiago, one of the finest examples of Moorish Granada, was built after the great earthquakeof 1531, in the middle decades of the sixteenth century, in the thirties and forties. It underwent a major transformation, an expansion in the seventeenth century, in which the epistle was built, creating in it several chapels. The historic and artistic interest in this temple is undeniable, with construction elements covering all styles of the modern age, from Gothic to Baroque. All built spaces stand, besides the magnificent polychrome Mudejar woodwork, rich farmer Chapel Juan Romero discussed in this article.
