You cannot sign up only for the first semester. If there are still places in the second semester, you can register.
There are two types of courses of shorter duration. On the one hand, intensive courses which are convened in July and September. Furthermore, specific courses for preparation of Cambridge University exams are organized in December, which have a duration of 30 hours. The admission to these courses is limited to those students who demonstrate a satisfactory oral and written expression ability.
It is not compulsory to take external tests in order to give credit to the level being required by your Faculty or School. The courses offered by the “Servicio de Idiomas” (Languages Service) adopt European levels as a reference. If you wish to obtain a certification of your language level (A1, A2, B1, B2 or C1) in addition to the certificate of achievement which you obtain from the course, you have to take a test in one of the calls organized by this establishment.
In this case, you must talk directly to the Servicio de Idiomas (not to your professor) and we will give you several alternative solutions.
No, the marks are not kept. In the following call to which you attend, you will have to be tested again on all the aspects that make up the exam.
