Doubts about Credits’ Recognition (or activities) or Transference of Credits
If you are a Degree student, you can ask for the recognition of some activities as optional credits (up to a maximum of 6 credits); in addition, if you wish, you can transfer more credits. You have more information and even a list of the activities which can be recognized to you by searching “reconocimiento actividades” (activities recognition) on the UPO website. In general, the cost represents 30 % of credits’ value. The application form depends upon each activity’s organizers.
VERY IMPORTANT: if those credits had a payment associated and the student did not make it, credits would be eliminated from academic record, but they would still be in debt with the university.
Doubts about timetables, group or shift change, permutas...
You can consult the week-long timetables of each group in the website of each Establishment, (Faculty or School). Furthermore, you can look up in which group you are registered for each subject and its corresponding timetable in Servicios Personales on the website, once you have formalized your registration.
If you have already enrolled for the course and you have selected subjects and groups, whose timetables cause an overlap, you cannot demand a timetable modification of the UPO. Sometimes it is also possible to avoid these overlaps through permutas or group changes.
In some Degrees, the auto-registration system allows you to choose among different groups for each subject (although in other cases it is not possible). If any of the offered timetables do not suit you well, you can change them sometimes through permutas or group changes
You will have to consult in your Faculty or School (in the ground floor, Building No. 2 – Antonio de Ulloa) if group changes will be made possible once the permutas procedure has been closed. If that is the case, they would establish the deadlines and the procedure.
